Actually feel like i need to punch Carol, those damn jointed boots had me walking list night like I was standing on nails.....

And in fact, you probably were. Check the insole- the object tanning has been known to squeeze the nails out of the leather. I had to carve and tape in an old insole from some other shoes of mine.
