Yeah Chinorlz has mentioned that those boots are brutal on the feet. I know ccp requires dedication, but definitely more than a little intimidated especially by your affirmation of the pain they bring. I don't need supreme comfort, but standing on nails might be where I draw the line :)

well the boots are not that uncomfortable, in part becase i think they are a size big on me
they are a 7 and I am more of a 6 or 6.5, I wear them with an insole, but i think I had tthem on walking for about five or so hours, and then had to walk very long to find food at 4 am in the morning. at that point it was just a bit too much

Hrm well if you put it that way maybe my expectations of comfort when it comes to footwear is a little bit much. When I hang out in San Francisco which is generally where my sz-style footwear gets worn I typically walk between 5-11 miles and am on my feet/wearing them for 12-20 hrs at a stretch. At that point some pairs I probably undersized (Size 42 guidi on size 41 feet) start to make me limp. That's when I worry that a pair are uncomfortable. And only if something that doesn't make me limp after that sort of usage do I consider it to be adequately comfortable.

Edit: Actually that's untrue. I have a pair of carpe's that are definitely undersized and can be considered uncomfortable due to low instep and they start making me limp after 3-4 hrs with only a couple miles of walking.
