For totally selfish reasons, I'm hoping that posting a couple of pics showing how well PH in this color (and it's cotton) works in the summer will encourage more PH stockists outside of the EU.

mbd. I think you will find it's not the stockists not wanting to supply ph. In fact I'm sure there is a very very long list of retailers who would love to stock his collection.
It's Paul Harden himself that stops stockists. Keep in mind that it was only aw10 (I think) that dsm started stocking him.
That is the first and only place in London.
He has very very strict conditions and basically doesn't want his stuff to be readily avaliable.

And re my comment on the back vents, thanks for the pics. Shows the details perfectly

^^^^ yup. was told DSM tried to double their order and he refused. I think L'Eclaireur is the only shop that gets to place a "large" PH order

No... I think they are just different
I don't think as a man you'd want the detailing on the butt like you get on the womens jackets.
I actually think the menswear range is far superior to 4-5yrs ago when his menswear line fitted very strangely.

Nope. Obviously women's shapes can be more beautiful - that cut in particular, but the long blazer he does for men is probably the most perfect coat out there.

Just to add to the conversation re: PH women's versus men's. I tried on a number of jackets, including shorter jackets. I was tempted to get a dark shorter jacket, but this one caught my eye. I'm guessing too, they're aren't that many in circulation and that I'd have a harder time finding it if I passed.

That said, I'm expecting to get a shorter jacket in a dark color, too. As soon my ear begins to dispense gold coins.

I tried on his apron skirts. I have a thing for waxed cotton. They looked great (the price points were ridiculous.) I was tempted, but when they put the bonnet on me - against my will! -- all I could think was, "I'd be spending xxxx to look like a 16th century Dutch milk maid?" Maybe next time.
