Justifying using the word "faggot" by saying that you don't mean like gay faggot, but like, faggot faggot, is a heap of fucking bullshit. It's not any less offensive to the homosexual who overhears you and it's not any less hurtful to the closeted friend you have that's playing along.

Lately :
Is it alright to respect disrespectfull people ?
Inner beauty : does that really count ?
I have a friend who doesn't like my music : can we still be friends ?
Are there situations when I don't have to feel insulted when I hear an insulting word directed at me ?
Next :
Can a straight boy and a straight girl just be friends ?
Am I too young to express political opinions ?
How do I tell my parents ?
What if I don't believe in God ?I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.

breaking news: not everyone has the same taste as you, more at 11. Also we speak with a man who dresses different than most people and doesn't understand why he gets looked at sometimes, stay tuned."It's hard to tell the real people from those who pretend. These days I've got more shoes than I've got real friends."

I am leaving for two weeks in two days. All will be better.
I am sorry that I offended you, casem. (But there is a difference between being gay and being a queen, no?)Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Figured I'd post what I was wearing yesterday, despite only leaving the apt for about 2 hours. Decided to sell the PH for 1 size up. I just feel a little restricted in it (shoulders & chest) and I have limited buttoning and layering ability with it.
Needless to say, I am looking for Medium now...

Thanks, I think I know your politics and beliefs well enough to know you didn't mean to be offensive. Yes, of course not all gays are queens and not all queens are gay. I'd rather not police what kind of gay is acceptable however and use a term that is still slung around hatefully to describe them. Chris Rock does a similar bit about black people that, while funny, does similar work to reinforce norms of a how a "good" black person should act. And anyway, I don't know that Chris was being queeny, just persistent.
The debate seems to have died down, so enough about all that. Bring on the fits!

I see you're apologizing, and I see it's not coming from a hateful place, but you're coming off as ignorant and sexist. And I don't use it to put you down, only trying to highlight what I find wrong about your reasoning.
I get the impression you're trying to find some way to justify why you feel disgusted or provoked or annoyed by flamboyant behaviour in men. It doesn't make sense no matter what you call them...
edit: or what sexuality they have. for that matter.Last edited by Guest; 01-11-2012, 11:14 AM.
