I wanna like that outfit but there's too much going on. Too much thin drapery fabric everywhere. If I were you I'd change either the scarf of the cardigan. I think a leather jacket would be good instead of the cardi. Also I'm not a fan of that many different colours. Light grey, dark grey, black, brown...

Phiman, why do you wear the belt over the scarf? So that we see it's MA+? And why don't you wear the shoes when they are a few meters away? A little more effort for an outfit and less for showing as much clothes as possible and it could work wonders.

the scarf is tucked under the belt for practical reasons only- it's a pretty windy day and the scarf kept flying off my shoulders outside. and Christian is basically right, besides the fact that it's not my mothers but my sisters house . well, i guess that's kinda funny

but u took a picture inside to post on a forum seems like the practical thing to do then would be to wear it normally so you dont look completely ridiculous.

stepped inside the house, took shoes off and took a picture in front of the mirror while my sister went to the kitchen to make some coffee. i actually didn't think that this would be such a big deal (?). but obviously i've just been taught otherwise.
and before someone asks - the belt is on top of the cardigan on purpose, since the cardigan doesn't have any buttons to close it up! is it just the scarf tucked in or is the whole belt-over-cardigan thing a complete styling-fauxpas in your eyes?

if i was your sister id rather you wheel around the flat in rollerskates than wear your belt like that. fortunately like others have mentioned you just need to subtract a few things and youve got a decent simple look. wont cost u a penny.
