...i immediately thought of this as well. i have those boots and tried to sell them but was ever so slightly reluctant and actually relieved when they didnt sell. i think i will wear them and take a photo of my impression of "Dorothyism"...red shoes put you in a good mood frankly. i think the contrast of black/red is easier to task but i am reminded by christian of the red balloon.

red shoes with the black suit was really good but there is a warmth that the grey gives to the robustness of red.

My very first piece from one of Junya's best collection - Fall 2007, and it certainly won't be the last. The jacket is made of 100% cotton but I would have mistaken it for a stiff goat leather if it wasn't for the edges. 'Tis the beginning of a new love affair.

I was thinking it looked like a really bad store catalog/site shot gone wrong. You can't see details, you see a rack of clothing and some display boots. Was he trying this stuff on and taking shots at the store?

If that's what you want to see you're obviously in the wrong thread. In my opinion good photography is most definitely a plus, but ultimately the point is to see clothes being worn and appropriated, not highly processed, self-indulgent arty photos
