I'd like to just add that the workwear/heritage group have been rocking aprons for years now, in tin-cloth, selvege denim, waxed cotton, ect. I like his fit's but let's not pretend that it's the new hotness.

Vintage leather apron
on a more serious note, I think the styling with the apron in MDBs pic is great although a bit context depandant? Would work in a store, party etc but not in the streets maybe?

I thought my position was obvious but for the more obtuse:
aprons as a utilitarian piece of attire can be worn by anyone. IMO aprons STYLED to be worn as a fashion statement would look better on a chic.
Aprons worn as apron = not feminine, UNISEX,utilitarian
STYLED aprons = cutesy and IMO, better left to chics
the only reason I initially posted my thoughts was because mbd seemed to get annoyed that the apron wasn't getting "proper attention" and in voicing this she resorted to attacking another fit, I just didn't think that was cool.

Full disclosure: I own and love my Carol pieces, too, but there are good ways to style things and there are bad ways.
I thought we were here to discuss design, not to get hot and bothered at the mere sight or mention of *anything* from certain designers privileged here.
Done.

Argument about a complaint about the lack of attention towards a post that was off-topic to begin with - only in waywt."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."
