well I assume cj was talking about using a camera. a cellphone camera + mirror is pretty doomed to begin with
"AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."
^ Agreed ; so let's go for the middle-ground : proper camera + retarder + proper support at the proper height. Waist level, about three meters from the camera with a standard angle, some reframing if necessary (not that time consuming) and the picture is nice enough, even if distorsions are still here (see my last pic : the crewneck is certainly short, but IRL it stops a the waist, which doesn't seem to be the case on the picture).
It is far from professional quality, but at least it is more than enough to give people an idea of what you look like wearing all that stuff, rather than having them wondering what's wrong with your body, or the cut of your clothes, or both.
I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.
Useful tips, thanks. Gives me another reason to be happy about moving, I wouldn't be able to stand a meter from a camera in my current place without crashing into some furniture
csx: I think the layer work out fines, the colors work great together! (I find dust colors so hard to play around and I think you're doing it right.) wire artist: this is fantastic! so many weight to it. mail-moth: I wish the scarf is in navy, that way everything will blend in perfectly!
^ Navy is also an option, yes, but a very classical one, and I like black combined with certain shades of green - because of an old pic from Avantster, standing in front of a mossy wall dressed in black and very dark grey, with a huge green Yohji scarf. This one must be my favourite, from all those that have been posted here. Black and green sound like an evidence to me since.
Wire-artist., you're a rare and precious pleasure in this thread.
