The Wurm, the Hole and the Triangle (Part One)
Originally posted by wurm View PostWhat if someone runs off with your phone?
I'm missing some details to give you a proper answer, but I'll try to do my best.
1°) If your phone is an iPhone, then the reply should be "Bien fait pour toi crétin, t'avais qu'à pas t'acheter cette merde overpricée qui prend en sus des photos pourries". This sentence could be approximately translated like this : "Well, I'm so sorry for you that you've been stolen this beautiful gem".
2°) If your phone is not an iPhone.
a) The answer is easy, it's only a matter of geometry in space and easy triangulation : the distance between the poster and the camera has to be shorter than the distance between the camera and any of the folks surrounding you. Hence permiting you a strong intervention if someone with greedy eyes approaches your camera.
A diagram is worth a thousands words.

The Wurm, the Hole and the Triangle (Part Two)
Nevertheless considering that beyond 2 or 3 meters your camera will not catch any details and, in additon, that the idea to take a WAYWT picture in a crowd where people would be closer to you than 2/3 meters would be silly, your question makes no sense.
I will ask our beautiful secretary of the HowNotToAskSillyQuestions, Rilu, to move your post in the Inane Questions thread.

May I add, on a more personal note, that if you live in a world where people around you are seen as potential thieves, then you should maybe move to another forum, like one of these.
