Wearing too tight pants is actually something I often see hipsters doing. I like the rest of the outfit, you just need to find slightly looser pants, it's not like you're not an already slim guy.

Clothes are by definition designed to to be worn, can't see how what is acceptable on a runway to you, is not understandable on the street...?

I think what you're describing is more a theory that is only sometimes adhered to in practice. It would be a mistake, I think, to ignore the context of the runway or street, like refusing a distinction between the white box gallery and, again, the street.

So, according to that, would you wear everything that is shown on runways? In my opinion some of more "out there" runway looks are hard to pull off for everyday wear. And of course you must consider how other people will look at you especially when you're going to wear skirt which is a totally feminine piece, I know that some peple don't care about it but most cant deny that it can make them feel uncomfortable.

And that is of course the perfect place to wear clothing you wouldn't have the courage to wear everyday. I just cannot imagine man dressed in skirt walking into the bus.
