noirgt, I'm afraid the SUV just doesn't "go" with your ensemble.

treasurehoard, the BBS coat is a great stand-out piece, but you're not letting it do that because there's just so much bunching/stacking going on throughout. With 3 scrunched up layers on your arms alone, your upper half is competing with the lower half, where there's yet more stacking from the knee to the boot.

Good pieces here, but I do think that this particular mix would benefit from a slimmer pant, untucked. For balance. Due to the specific lines of this silhouette, it risks veering into "buccaneer" territory, which can read more as costume than clothing. Put simply, it's just a bit too much of a good thing.

And DamageX, you leave me no choice but to force a cliche on you, here: with those Margielas, every day is (a smidge) halloween. And this in the very best way, of course!

On a serious note, I've grown quite fond of long tops - took me a while. I used to hate them and now I rue the day I had some of my tees shortened; now I can't even look at them. Funny how our perceptions change (mature?) over time.

^Agreed. I blame Rick. Tried on a long tank (well, it's a dress really) from Ann D today that I stored away since it was just too long. That was then, now I feel it's actually a great length. I guess that'll change soon enough.. ^^
