The soles on my Poells aren't the same colour as the leather and they were obviously object dyed. AFAIK it's pretty much the same technique as what is used on crust leather; that is to dye or polishplain leatherafter the item's construction, traditional artisans often use some sort of brush to accomplish that effect.</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-CA style="mso-ansi-language: EN-CA"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

So to me object dying designates items that are given colouration post-construction instead of having the fibers or hides dyed prior to the elaboration of the garment.</P>

Same thing technically. Cordovan = Horse. Anyway those are awesome. My favorite C-Diems hands down.</p>

im not sure.when i was selling cdiems my source told me the object dyed cdiems should have all black or green soles.its not the case forall the horse boots and even some buried horsies are not object dyed. There are some black painted pairs that have black soles so the inverse is not true either.

To clarify I have no idea if they use other parts of the horse to make shoes, can anyone shed like on this?I do have a horse leather jacket and another pair of horse boots (Poell) and I would assume the Poells are Cordovan and the leather jacket isn't.
