And I don't see it as a formal shirt, I figured the high neck negated any formality it had.
Depends on how you figure formal. This high collar looks pretty hieratic to me - which is a formality of sorts in my book - and definitely not street / casual, which is clearly the case of the bottom part of your outfit.

Also, agree with Snafu and Shucks regarding proportions. But what do I know.
I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.

I think it would be hard getting around the fact that it's a long dress shirt, even if it is an unconventional one. I could only see it working if there was some other point of interest or layer that offset the 'long untucked dresshirt over jeans and sneakers' look. Maybe if there was a low crotch, maybe if it was oversized instead of slim, or maybe if it was worn unbuttoned like an open jacket, I don't know, it's hard to know without seeing and being overly conscious of it.

EDIT: Oh, everyone already beat me to it. The pitfalls of writing thoughtful responses.

and also, why wear a white shirt when there's black ones to be had out there....

"barf" is maybe a bit harsh haha - snafu keeping it old skool like waywt back in the day...
I've worn it with sweats and boots on the bottom but I wasn't too sure about how it looked. I'm not very tall so really anything I wear is gonna look kinda off but the sweats tucked into the boots kinda exaggerated it.

one thing i've learned being short - i don't wear long slim tops with slim bottoms and low footwear. elongated rick look works no matter the height i guess - but the proportions must be right. drop crotch is a must. also, i think it's best to go a bit boxy, without narrowing the silhouette.

              awesome rick shirt, btw.

Yeah honestly I'm still learning when it comes to tailoring proportions to my height. I'll get it down eventually.

                    Thanks!

/\ second version is much better.

snafu, I don't know why you've become such a dick over the past year. Trying to carry on merz's legacy? If the new rules have passed you by, I'm more than happy to remind you of them.

not wearing a white shirt with black bottoms will go a long way toward fixing your issues. when you're short and trying to pull off longer tops, black on black is your friend.

Good point! I just didnt like the black version of this so much but I might look into getting it. I'll have to try it on first.
