I'm not taking it as an insult but keep in mind that when you voice an opinion, you have to take ownership of it's implications. You voiced your distaste for a look I posted, don't retreat behind a facade of agreeing to disagree. This forums gets interesting when we agree to talk about our opinions not flee at the first sign of opposition. I'm quite open to criticism so don't pull any punches for me.

Is it alright if agree with what you just wrote here?
I'm not retreating here, my opinion on Browne still very much
stands. My last post was more in relation to "I'll try to conform
to forum doxa next time." as I would see this as 'horrible'.
Wither I like Thom Browne(on you) or not I would still very
much like to see it up here.

Ps. I did initially think you took offense, my bad,
still, red wine and sun salutes are very good to make you relax ...

Are you afraid of women, Doctor?
      Of course.

Fuuma, you are making me reconsider Thom Browne.
let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.

I have nothing against TBs garments - I think they are high quality and very well executed.

But you don't like the guy, his references and how he interprets them, his styling choices and his runway shows. To be honest I'm at the point that if I'm that opposed to a designer I simply don't want to wear what he presents and I believe you're the same.

Yes, I wouldn't go near a TB item myself.

I was once the fence about that just a year ago and realized that I was subconsciously doing it anyway... Now I guess I'm fully convinced.

To clarify I'm not discussing my interest in TB but the fact that I'm now totally ok with staying away from designers who I don't connect with, no matter how attractive an isolated item might be.

Yep, I don't see what the problem is with narrowing down your choices. BTW, I also think that in a case of a suit, this is somewhat different. I view it more as a uniform.

Fuuma - the height of your shirt's collar completely changes how that suit looks.

Yeah, I'm not that much into soft collars and button downs so something stiffer with a bit more height creates a nice visual impact. Note that this one is adapted to my morphology and has a lower height and shorter points than someone bigger would need.

Thanks! Yea, I have an unreasonable aversion to tucking anything in, even if I know it looks better
