No, you understood me right. Since the belt's construction is based on superimposing/tangling which gives it thickness, my opinion is that it needs also a thick/heavy environment, like wool/broadcloth or felt.

Yeah I have to say that although I'm a big fan of tucking pants into boots I usually think they look better worn over CCPs.

No, I agree with you here. Although I seem to like it in the CCP lookbooks. I think there needs to be laces on a boot (or some other kind of cinch) for the tuck to work. Exception: Ann D pull on boots.

I do too, but it's just a matter of proportions : since the coat is long, boots tucked ware shortening the legs, and silhouette, too much.
Colours are important too : the stem of the CCP boots is very massive, visually speaking, so the best conbination, when the pants are tucked in, is to choose a trouser's colour near to the boots' one.
