seaofstitches, I think a few more inches on the hem of the skirt is all you need.

Although, the toe box on the flat Ann D boots are distractingly wide. Kills the shoe for me, unfortunately.

thanks for the input! i can't do much about the length of the striped dress (it zips at the sides to be twisted/tied), but maybe i'll try a longer under dress next time. and i know what you mean about the boots - they are quite 'heavy'...but i still love them anyway.

absurdist, in-jokey, meta-criticism of consumerism, aesthetics, etc etc aside (i can rarely tell if half the world is being serious or just joking these days, let alone an abstraction like pnod), i think that outfit looks good on its own, regardless of any context or intended message the poster was trying to get across with it. There's been similarly ranged outfits posted on here I don't like as much, some I do. No real reason or meaning to explain why.

Everything looks good except for the boots. Like gerry said above about sea of stitches... the boots break the silhouette. I like the rest though!

Mona, like many people say, you have a very nice silhouette and your looks are great in general... except for the style of boots (usualy big, heavy, masculine, etc) which often ruin the rest (first pic). The balance between your overall feminity and the boots is too big and noticeable, it's like you're trying to focus attention on your feet, and avoid people looking at the overall. Try a pair of boots a little "less", or a little "more" feminine and it'll be perfect (2nd pic is already much better). Less is more !

i think the concept of the boots she chose is a good one. reminds me on snafu's ann d boots. i think that if the boots were tighter up top, and sort of clung to the leg a little more, this would slim down the silhouette and imo look a lot nicer.
