I used to have that rule, but now I buy bottoms often without the matching top because I'm not a big underwire fan. Triangle bras, however, I have a soft spot for.
That wasn't supposed to be a pun.

A lot of brands started making more triangle bras (they call them Lounge Bras these days; oh marketing trying to convince me I need an extra bra for lounging).

I am just too lazy to try to mix and match my underwear before I've had my third cup of coffee in the morning.

Ha! A good marketing spin always makes me grin, though I can't help but feel agreeable with the word lounge. It's perfect
for lingerie.

Don't get me started on Wolford! I would spend all my money at this tiny lingerie shop back in the day on all the early, strange-patterned pantyhose & stockings. They were so delicate, yet I somehow managed to keep them for years – and it was always a sad day when the first pinhole struck.

Until your post, I'd forgotten that Helmut Newton shot a number of their campaigns. Hell, I'd forgotten about Wolford!
