thanks heirloom, i had your wedge issue in mind when i asked. i know you went through a heck of a time with the integrity of the boots from 2? season ago. does O & M learn from their mistakes would be question now, i need a warranty.
dmask, this really is a sophies choice, i wasnt trying to be curt. its an impossible choice to make. if this helps, i started with the ann lace up's because they are more difficult to acquire, where as the guidi's can be found each season or custom ordered. they are interchangeable as far as what to wear them with so that doesnt come into play as a key decider. ann heels are a bit taller. the good news is that which ever comes first they will last and she will never regret having either.
marsell has some nice options these days too.

the basic structure is the same, however, these boots have the covering strip on the back of the heel no? I wouldn't treat these as everyday shoes, also because the heel is so high, but if they break you should jut get back to RO, even if you bought them elsewhere. my friend had her shoes fixed by leclaireur even.

long since sold out, damir doma's wedge shoe ...one of the greatest shoes out there. really bummed about missing out until i found a very old, fairly similar pair by robert clergerie i've had in the back of my closet for years, they are so closely related (does anyone remember when he did crepe soles?? long ago).Attached Files
