            had my favorite salad for lunch at an Alsatian brasserie: frisee coated with bacon drippings topped with a poached egg...it was awesome.

                checked out a local place which I've been meaning to go to for a year now.. the menu and dishes were a bit overdone at times but everything was made to perfection and tasted fantastic.



                whitfish, cucumber, ground cauliflower, strange lemon foam cube.. I have no idea how the fish was prepared, but it melted in your mouth.



                lamb, lamb chuck, morchella, whipped cream sauce, lamb stock, and a spongy bread cube. the white powder-like substance is apparently butter, it was completely dry, like powdered sugar, but melted instantly in your mouth.

                  Looks, and sounds, delicious ML. I love fish but have never tasted whitfish.

                  Had some salted chips and cheddar sandwiches with Hoegaarden this weekend. Too good.

                      in Helsinki. and yes, slightly too much bits and pieces on the dishes, but the taste made up for it

                          Looks good A, how much did that set you back? Quite a few good restaurants are getting hit by the economy where I am, being forced to re-price their menus or some even closing shop, it's rather sad.

                                I've been to one in Paris and LA, the latter was quite hilarious. everything from their bread to napkins is "organic", you cant find an item on the menu that doesn't say organic. the food was good though.
