Anton, when you have so few elements and the track is stylistically indistinct, you need to get into parallel compression and braurizing -- the percussive elements need to speak to one another and the transients should be excussing with perfect clarity.
I highly recommend reading this: http://glowcast.co.uk/blog/2015/04/m...l-compression/
The percussive elements also may need to have a more distinct chord progression and could sound better if you experiment with which specific note each element is sitting on.
