    long time no post

so here is final edit for an exhibition end of march.

the theme is cinema verité, since the shots IMO look staged, each has an underlying implied narrative ... (first stab at artist's statement )

From the Model Catwalk Portraits Serie: FW12/13 Julius Runway

There is another Serie I am working on " evidently seasonably": this is the Model portraits during Runways.
Why? Certainly because model portraits are generally not the main focus on a runway for the audiance as for the photographers as well, because catwalk is not easy for the models as the models can't afford any error during it and their faces reflects kinda tension behind a mask. Then, they are selected not only for their body shape but also often for a peculiar personnality matching the designer idea of the collection...Then the difficulty of photography technic: no flash into the darkness, halogen spotlight partial exposure and moving target...
All those reasons make I am interested in catching those faces...

wow, FTB, thank you. I was really happy with how the composition and color/light gradient turned out. I was freezing when I took it, so this was the only one that didn't come out completely blurred.

good to see you posting again...you were a mainstay of this thread there for ages...

yeah i can tell that photo was taken in an urgent state. they say due to the nature of the medium photography is nothing more than a recording and can't possibly have an emotional residue like, say, painting, but I think when you come across a good one, you can almost come close to feeling like how it must have been at the place the moment it was taken.

Same juncture as above shot, two months ago:
