So, after faithfully using Firefox for many years I am switching to Safari, mostly because it seems faster on my Mac and the graphics look crisper. I was annoyed that when you open tabs in Safari they do not display favicon, which is a huge fail on Apple's part. I found a thingie that fixes that, it's called Glims.

I use Safari all the time and always have a host of tabs open on my macbook air and I'm seeing favicon in all of them, no Glims download needed. How is it that I am and you're not?

So, I'v been teaching myself Photoshop. Must I get and learn a pen tablet if I really want to master it? If so, which one (not aiming to be a professional retoucher)?

good for you ...its the window to all things great and small. i wouldnt splurge on a tablet at all, right click mouse might be nice though. if you are using CS6 then you can alter pressure sensitive settings (i.e. brushes) to emulate various pressures through the [brush] preset panel via hardness slider.

becoming a member of photoshopuser.com might be helpful as well, it has a range of tutorials from beginner to very advanced.
