I've sunk a disturbingly high number of hours into Xenoblade, and I'm still only about 3/4ths of the way through (I think). Haven't had an RPG grip me like this in a long time.

Also finished skyward sword, once I moved away from the tv a bit, the controls worked pretty flawlessly. Despite all my grievances with the game, it's still better than wind waker. A few tweaks and some more variation/less padding would have made the game far greater. The game doesn't need to be 40 or so hours long if you've ran out of ideas by the mid point.

are you getting the last story in feb? personally i prefered it much better than xenoblade. also thought xenoblade's soundtrack would be sweet with mitsuda and shimomura together and it turned out they barely composed anything, then again both kind of suck now anyway.. todays videogames fucking suck too to be honest, too much casual and gimmicky shit.

I dunno I really like some of the tracks from the xenoblade ost. (gaur plains, colony 9, Xanthe) might not to be up to standards, and certain tracks got repetitive but it I enjoyed it. The quality does dip significantly in the later half when you are fighting more and more mechon (trying hard not to post spoilers). I don't really know who did what tracks mind you.

Speaking of the audio, overall I really think the english voice cast outdid themselves. Sans Riki, all of the main characters sound superior to the original vocal tracks imo. The secondary characters sound a bit wooden though.

I'll be getting the Last story as soon as the pal release drops. Been waiting for it for a while now. I have an innate bias to any non turn based RPG's even if they are horrible (or even if they're simply disguised with mmorpg mechanics).

it's a shame the market has no interest in a survival horror RE with exploration, puzzles and where you store items in a box. hell, even another RE4 would do but this abomination & hybrid is not even close to it. i wonder what mikami thinks :)
