i find few things to be as irritating as stadiums. there's just way too many of these monstrous eyesores in america.

here in Houston we have the following stadiums and it's amazing that somehow all these can be financially justified. not sure how common it is, but houston is a car town so you'd be amazed at just how much land is used up as dedicated surface parking lots for these.

baseball - minute maid park
basketball - compaq center
football - reliant park
soccer - coming soon...
U of H stadium
Rice U stadium
TSU stadium
old basketball stadium - currently Joel Osteen's Jesus will make U rich church
old football stadium - a crumbling waste of space


also note that football is BIG in texas, so many of the wealthier high schools have some world-class stadiums as well.
