Went to check joker for the first time here in s.f. Last night. Left the spot amazed by Nasty Nasty. Jokers great for bumping in the car, at home and all, but at least last night, was very dissapointed in his live steez.. Seems to always come down to this dynamic for me. Some studio production shit blows me away, then go to see live and no umph! Nasty Nasty killed it.!

Today I went to my dad's place and found this 12", completely forgot I'd ordered it months ago. The B-side is mediocre but this track is so great.

also is anyone as pumped as I am for this one to be released?

Sometimes a heavy dose of dub is warranted. The three following artists/albums have been my go-to dub option as of late.

            http://www.archive.org/details/lcl20...rinityAllStars (FREE FOR DL!)

Particular favourites off the album include "Leipzig im Winter" and "7th Sea Dub in Twilight"...

            http://www.archive.org/details/Tsuna...erEp-Adr.com48 (FREE FOR DL!)

I prefer both the hardstepper mixes off this album, but have in truth been jamming most of the tracks (especially Shogun)...

Finally, last but not least is

            http://odgprod.com/wp/2010/02/step4i-part-6/ (FREE FOR DL!)

An excellent dub/dubstep compilation with a bit heavier/synthetic production than the first two albums covered...

Favourites include "Bamwise - Digitron", "Jah Billah - Revolution", "Jean Paul Dub - Firsteppa", "Massive Dub Corporation - Good Vibe", "Weeding Dub - Juillet", and my top pick, "Lowki - Season of the Harvest"...
I am not who you think I am

Translation: Dubstep is not black metal!

I've been really into glitchy stuff recently. It's not really dubstep, but it seems like trip-hop with a pre-wobble dubstep influence. Radio people are trying to call it 'wonky' which is one of the worst names for a genre in a long time.

I don't really know much about this type of music, if anyone does please tell me more.

Stumbled upon more music I didn't remember having. Move to a different place, you'll be surprised at all the stuff you find while clearing your old place.

                  Found these two gems:

(has both the original and the vocal version on it)

(mine is ~6 minutes long though)

as well as the Flat Beat 12"

To me it's more some kind of experimental hiphop, but well 'dubhop' makes sense too .

I am also into this genre, although i am relatively new to it. Really started to listen to with Hud-mow's first EP.

                    Some cool trax:

heres another one for you... never had this one on vinyl though

by the way, does anyone know places to buy old garage etc. tracks online? many of my favorite tracks are copies that i ripped from some compilation so they fade into something else. trackitdown and beatport have a few things, but not the greatest selection.

EDIT - THIS TRACK IS MAD... d double e - street fighter riddim (radio rip)

listening to "Qawwali" by Pinch right now. It's such a classic.
