i saw boris/torche/clouds last night. it was bliss! seriously, seeing bands like ghost and boris is a truly mystical experience. amazingly, my ears aren't ringing thanks to these crazy mil-spec earplugs i picked up. another miracle: my glasses were knocked off my face by a stage diver, and i managed to recover them, unscathed.</p>

if anyone has the chance, do catch boris this tour. as i mentioned to someone via PM, i felt 18 again. </p>

I haven't heard Torche or Clouds on record, for what it is worth.</p>

Torche were pretty cool. I was more into Clouds' set, actually. They (Clouds) started with their set playing the coda to The Beatles' She's So Heavy. They were heavy but also very musical. The bassist looks really familiar to me, but I don't know why. But in short, Clouds seemed way more focused than Torche; the latter seemed kinda superficial in comparison.</p>

Of course, BORIS blew them all out of the water.

EDIT: and if you are feeling entrepreneurial (or slimy), they are selling the SMILE LPs for $50; they are going for $150 on eBay.</p>

going to see boris/torche/clouds on friday night. i'm hoping seeing boris live will deepen my appreciation for the band, because i've been disappointed with most of their stuff aside from 'pink'.</P>

loved most of those bands</p>

the "all the presidents men" comp is available in digitized form, free, if you google it</p>

i geeked out a couple weekends ago when i ran into the bassist of policy of three; i wasn't starstruck, exactly, but it cheered me!</p>
