i need to see jesus lizard again. three times in my youth was not enough. the best was seeing them 2nd band in the sonic youth lalloserpoloza in 95. it was sunny nobody knew who the fuck they were except me and my friends punching out the air every so often. i don't think they knew what they were doing. yow couldn't surf during sea sick. he was sad.
same year that hole played before sonic youth. the entire la crowd left after hole played. i was wandering back to the stage pleading with the crowd to come back and watch sonic youth. no takers. they played the diamond sea for 45 minutes.

glad you brought up prurient. i saw his prepared piece at the xiu xiu/michael gira show at housing works and his piece was really good. i thought the video was kinda cheesy, but the music was excellent. i've only seen prurient once, and never really liked the music all that much, but i think the rose pillar stuff might be some of the music i heard at the show. i'm going to have to try and find it now.
