Yeah, Basho is fantastic, and I'm gonna second the vote for the faloconer's arm, although I'm partial to the Blue Lotus, myself. Definitely an artist I prefer to listen to on vinyl. And while you can't really pick between Basho and Fahey, I definitely find myself listening to Fahey more often.
And yeah - honestly, I have a bit of a hard time enjoying the contemporary guys like Six Organs or James Blackshaw. They just don't compare to the originals, like Fahey, Basho et al. It's strange - I normally wouldn't care about this stuff, but with folk guitar, it makes a huge difference for me. Fortunately, a few of those fellows are still alive - I saw Michael Chapman back in sept, and it was great...
