Karp are still the coolest of the cool. The self titled lp still kills 99% of records coming out today...

Year Future never did it for me - seemed so second tier compared to their pedigree (VSS, Angel Hair, Festival of Dead Deer, Dead and Gone, Some Girls, the Fucking Angels)

I can't believe it. The Year Future revival starts here. First I've put on my Year Future T-Shirt for sleeping, then I listened to First World Fever for the first time in two years and one day later I read this.

Furdidurke, right on, man. Yr totally on the right track with where my friend and i are going with the mix Corsair. There's a lot of Klaxon/Youth Attack/Satan's Din/Irradiated Corpse. I dunno if Furdidurke will make it tho...just not feeling it that much. The rip I have of the demo has only two tracks - side a, side b. Gonna try and divvy it up into songs, see it if it's any better. Not so into their contribution on their split with Bone Awl. Been spending my days digitizing my tapes.

kudos man - I like the cut of yr jib.

Also, it's about time we re-usurped this thread. Where you been, Q?

it's actually quite good! the new converge is better, but then again thats a whole entire separate genre/tone.

lately for me though it's been a large amount of post rock/ ambience.

explosions in the sky, this is a process of a still life, mogwai, also a great shoegaze band called a sunny day in glasgow, love it.

So sink in your tusks, mighty walrus.
Take what's yours, Walrus's of the night, take your prey, with tusks bared in the burning light, take their life and rob me.

If you're a Nick Cave fan, you should really check out his mind-blowing live piano version of The Mercy Seat (which he originally performed with The Birthday Party, and later covered by Johnny Cash.)
