Didn't know where else to put this sudden thought for discussion(if its already somewhere i apologise from the bottom of my heart!)
So i was in the shower washing my body with SZ respected M.A+ aloe vera cashmere fibre shower gel humming "all along the watch towers" by jimi hendrix or any of the various covers you truely enjoy and i thought back to the discussion i had with friends about this spotify and how its another free music outlet.
What you guys think of it? who uses it and puts up with the adverts just for the free tunes? or who has a premium account?(please give free invite) obviously theres been napster , limewire etc also myspace with was more of a springboard for struggling/upcoming bands to get noticed.
I still buy music and go to alot of gigs to support my favourite bands but i am also tempted by this because free things don't usually appear on magic carpets all that often and all my ££££ is going into style enhancement.
just thought it might inspire some interesting chit chat as theres some keen music lovers here and i am sure theres still some guys listening to vinyls/tapes and maybe even mini disc players

I have to say I'm not really into any of the online music services, I've never used spotify or bought music digitally. I do download music though, which I guess is sort of conflicting with how I feel about digital music, but I mainly do it to listen to stuff I otherwise couldn't. I still buy the albums I like on CD and occasionally on vinyl, which makes it at least somewhat ok in my mind
I also try to support small local record stores instead of large online retailers or big chains."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

I use spotify, but not very often. it's got a pretty nice music database even though it's free and most likely directed at the mainstream market. but I guess it's going to cost money for everyone soon.
I still buy vinyls and really good records of bands I want to support. there are so few really known artists that aren't super rich already... probably not a very valid argument even if that's how I sometimes see it
sneaking in my spotify playlist here

was pretty meh. I didn't like it that much.
not as heavy as their older stuff. and even though Greg Anderson (from Sunn and some other bands) and Aaron Turner (from Isis) helped making this album...
what a disappointment :(
