I'm gonna second this one, on all accounts.

A lot of people go for the sound - but totally don't get the band, who were more than just chorus-effected bass and baritone vocals...I dunno. Joy Division were a big thing for me at a time in my life, huge, actually - but I find myself being unable to listen to them, their sound has been so watered down and washed out.

Please don't take it personal. As a Joy Division fan I find it insulting how many bands are compared to them.

This is exactly the reason why I haven't listened to them for three years now. I can't even stand to hear "Love Will Tear Us Apart" anymore, a few years ago THE song of songs for me.

This band is actually really good to fall asleep (no joke )

Even if you don't like the music, the video clip worth it.

it's hella warm here in the southern hemisphere - a sweltering 39 degrees but nevertheless, 'sticks all the way... i still own the rough trade 7" of the original "marriage made in heaven" duet with niki of huggy bear from way way back. the one with lee hazlewood on the cover. awesome as ever.

a different version of the same song with isabella rossellini:-

new Two Tongues album (not as good as I hoped)

old Radio With Guts tracks (amazing)

Heavens "Patent Pending" album (not as good as Skiba's solo tracks)
