I recommend you some dark ambient on Plague Recordings, especially albums by Wicked Messenger.

I must get Throbbing Gristle's First Annual Report. But now back to my roots: Prodigy's Experience (1992).

NP: Howlin' Wolf - The Chess Box.

The Wolf, the man, without which there wouldn't have been a Captain Beefheart and that hack by the name of Tom Waits. To say the very least.

Yesterday two live performances in Malmö: MFMB and Andreas Tilliander feat. Kiiosk.

What to say? With two singers, analog Korg and digital Roland synthesizers, live drums and two basses MFMB played powerful electro pop. The singers had studied Ian Curtis carefully. No serious group can go untouched by Joy Division, but I disrespect obvious artistic, carismatic thefts of the epilepsy dance. We've had cases of that before here.

Andreas Tilliander is a popular tech house artist spearheading Sweden's only radio show dedicated to electronic music. It was a good listen with several of those dizzy acid lines I love. Audience invaded the stage, danced there violently in several constellations, a girl in leopard leggings went sway-backed on all fours, glasses were smashed on stage. Inspite guardian intervention the concert had to stop prematurely. Tilliander got booed off stage and the bad-mixing DJ had to take over. It was pure sillyness. The high energy wasn't good-spirited; it wasn't the rock club in Wild At Heart. This was pure narcissism inhibiting a good music experience. It was puerile behaviour in a 20+ audience.

A complete departure from his last album "who needs actions when you got words".

The raw dark twisted hip hop tales are exchanged for a motown influence sound.(im a soul man at heart).
Quite an interesting little concept album(use the term concept rather loosley)

Had a very quick listen, sounds very promising! Some serious beats, and as usual a great mix of genres.

                          just a commentary:
                          Any Mary J Blighe fans?

How can someone who continues to sound like an out of tune guitar get so much love?..both critically and commercially
                          I honestly don't get it.

Mary was better when she was stoned......
Although you cant really knock her voice. The woman sings with passion, and man has she got soul in that voice of hers!
That said ,i havent really paid much attention to her for the best part of 8-10 years!
