Oneohtrix Point Never's 45-minute Boiler Room set is a nice audio/visual way to melt your mind for awhile.

For those just learning, Oneohtrix Point Never is Daniel Lopatin, a young Brooklynite whose radical, hypnogogic works will give you comfort that experimental and ambient electronic music has worthy torch-bearers. His most recent LPs R Plus 7, Replica, and Returnal are all fine places to start, but for those already in love, or those willing to go for a ride, that Boiler Room set is going to bring you fragmented shards of avant garde goodness.

On the flip, I also love what he did to "Lady In Red" five years ago.

This is looking more like a White Void video in my browser and he is danish. If you mean, like I assume, Die Nerven or Karies, hell yes! You can seriously forget about Berlin when it comes to punk or even not dance orientated music in general.

It was a video by Die Nerven. They are my favorite right next to Human Abfall.

oooooh, I always assumed it was a one-and-done project.

I'd love a new album from him.

Just saw these guys last night and I was blown away. Easily one of the best bands I've ever seen live and probably the single best singer I've ever heard.

Lydia Ainsworth's Right From Real LP is a promising debut and worth a listen. There's a ritualistic feeling, and an acoustic/bedroom style leavened with pristine production and sweeping strings. You can feel Kate Bush and Björk in the windswept and dramatic feel (and these are self-acknowledged influences, not just lazy comparisons). Lydia's record comes from the Arbutus label -- which brought us Grimes and Doldrums -- and this video for "Malachite" is mesmerizing:
