edit: and re the collection, I tend to agree with you. not bad per se, just underwhelming. I never understood the whole misogyny angle, but it still looks to me like a menswear designer doing women's. I guess he's going for a coherency between lines, but I'd rather see something different for fe-male, something more than simply adapted menswear pieces and forms plus a pair of billowy pants. the first dress is imo the most interesting piece, but I don't think I'd want my girlfriend in it (some very unflattering gathering happening on the model). likewise, I'm sure the coat will be phenomenally constructed, but the silhouette is... non-existent.

I recall poell once quoted as saying something along the lines of: a woman just wants a dress to make her butt look good. the unfortunate truth is, while concept is great and all, at the end of the day I just want a woman's dress to make her butt look good too.
