thanks for the heads up BSR
            SS11 preview

initial impression based on a cursory overview:
            boots look great
            henleys look a little cheap
zipper pants? unnecessary zippers seem out of character for ma+. kinda disappointing after how much i like the pleated knee slim pants
aviator looks good, albeit a little too short.
raglan blazer looks great. beautiful color.
linen silk hooded jacket looks pretty comfy and wearable too. not keen on the long rope-tie looking thing coming off the hood...
i can't do white clothes. sorry.
i'd like to hear others impressions as well. especially those that visited the showroom...

I'd say thats a pretty good best-of from the entire collection. I can think of one really nice jacket in addition, but it was fairly similar to previous seasons.

the aviator is ridicilously short. the sleeveless one was like man-bra on me.

Not a big fan of what I'm seeing here. Its interesting when a designer can take his/her aesthetic just a bit to the left or right and it translates into something goofy. Precious lines crossed...

                    Oh man,

why you guys desecrating the thread............
Im torn, as a designer I am growing in reluctance in commenting on other designers work, but just to go against my reluctance.

I think MA+ is at a serious crossroads, in the sense that there is no question that there is a significant place in the market for the kind of clothing he does, however, I find the work is evolving too slow, and there are fundamental flaws in the cutting of some of the items.

The Ideas are genius, but needs to be be executed in a way eliminates the fit concerns that many of his ardent fans are having........

is this (ma)crossroads a hybrid late seventies sci fi and christiane f bowie heroin chic? if so, who cares how it fits?

Dose anyone else not see a striking resemblance in 2 of the pant styles to aitor throups designs that release in f10?or has ma been doing the covered feet in previous seasons and it just something I haven't seen before?

well he worked for Carpe Diem, which Ive seen Linea pants with this kind of feature before so I'm sure the idea wouldn't be new to him...................Also, this Idea is not new, its a feature used of Some Military stuff, for underwater gear, and for some protective suits that are worn in Bio-hazardous environments..............

                              hooded leather is the equalizer.

Hooded leather is straight armor. Might as well be wearing Kevlar. I do wish wish he made a hoodless version though. Assuming I could afford such a piece I'd rather have it collared than hooded.
How do you guys like the fit of my new CCP suit?
