I actually met Simone at the layers opening party - an incredibly nice and friendly guy who is unbelievably passionate about what he does......
tried to buy/steal/beg the pair of boots he was actually wearing (my size
) but like i said he's a passoinate guy, so i unfortunately went home wearing the same pair of augusta i had gone out in......
talked about the leathers, the soles, the processes etc etc.....truly interesting evening...you can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter...Comment

a pair of his classic mid-height lace-ups, but i had never seen that exact shape of leather before...the seemed more 'substantial'....stunning...the shape/toe was slightly different to what we see now - i guess they were a couple of years old....
i will be continueing my effort to get my hands on them.......

I'm considering picking up a older style as well. Kudu Laceup.

There is a new (SS10) Kudu laceup that Barney's stocks, and it is currently on sale. Have you seen them? I am a big fan of the older ones you posted as well. These are the same height as those, just a bit more tan in color.Comment

i have them in bone, oddly the 46 is a wee bit tight. every other pair i've ever tried in 46 was roomy.

ugh, don't tempt me. i need to get a new pair of derbies next year...
yeah, i would love to get black drip sneakers, but i wouldn't want to wear them every day. i think they would be perfect to wear with ccp suiting..
so now i need to find a sole color to match the sneakers (dirty grey) and replacement laces (i know they'll break)
if anyone out there hates rick dunks, get the augusta sneakers..
