I saw the current women's collection in the NYC store about a month or two ago. The detail and craftsmanship is unparalleled (well, older McQueen and Alaïa as well). I wish there was a market for that intricacy in his men's collections.

Its fascinating to see men in this forms . The half transy pants looks cool!!! I have mostly thoughts of women being so fashionable but I guess men are giving good competition here

I'd never thought about this, but I think there is a surprising commonality between older McQueen and Thom Browne. TB's work shows an attention to detail that more recent McQueen seasons have lacked, somewhat.
