So Mohawk is Rick's name for suede? Everything makes sense now... Sucks cos I wrote an essay on the medges last week, and couldn't decide whether to go for turbo or mohawk (which is the name stores use)

BSR, I hope the Bauhaus comes back without the storm flap. It was my one gripe.

I've also spotted some tall combats in those showroom pics. Similar in height to the '08 version. Perfect in my eyes.

back flap is cool, I don't get whats so bad about it. Makes the jacket a little more interesting than every other leather that has the same flat back.

I guess bauhaus back flap is just too big.
the ribbing on the back waist is used to pull the front waist part, so that when you wear the jacket, it doesn't completely dominate the whole look.
and the flappy thing is to balance the effect of the ribbing below.
but I just found the flap is too big for the jacket.
here is an example:
ss09 bauuhaus in blistered lamb. although there is no ribbing here,
but the flap is getting baggy and doesnt sit well on the back.

I dunno, I think the flap is kind of perfect. Takes it from re-worked leather jacket to a more architectural level.
