I think those are just the waxed versions of their classic curving seam jeans (with the hem insert)... from the photos posted before I think the twist jeans are truly twist (inner layer stitched offset to the external layer).

... at least I hope so.

Naw, I can see the seaming along the leg in the lookbook pics, not true twists I'm afraid, they're just manually placed like that in the picture...

no worries man. the combination of the back seam and the mild boot cut means I'll pass on the J-jeans (that and the waist is too big on a size 1).

tempted by it but nearly 50K yen is a bit steep for a cotton hoodie. looks really nice in the charcoal colour though...

considering the melton wool coat provided that it runs small enough, even though I will only have a couple of weeks to wear it before the weather gets too hot (damn southern hemisphere).

For people in Tokyo right now, Midwest has a few cool special Julius items; a basic (no nipples) leather jacket, a terry cotton version of the long gas mask pocket jacket (that Atelier has in the waxed gabardine), and some cut and sew pieces in kind of a dark blue.

Also, the wool melton coat doesn't seem to run especially slim -- probably a pretty true size 44. The size 1 fits me perfectly (usually a size 1 Julius, 44 Geller, 44 Lad Musician, etc) and I am going to probably end up needing to buy it. It is really lovely.

What kind of collar on that nippleless jacket?

I believe it was kind of a moto-style collar and overall design. Similar to the fw07 one.. If I am remembering correctly.

the bummer on the julius leather at midwest is that it has no fucking pockets.
