    A back detail.[64]

Apparently, the jackets were "molded" onto a model form and will mostly come in only one size. Also according to runner, the price will be around $9000. [:O]

Damn, $9G's!! Yohji is catching up to CCP in terms of pricing (now probably surpassing him).

Cas as i mentioned in that other thread, i had somewhat of a pretty strong hunch i bumped into runner in tokyo a few nights ago...i really wanted to go up and ask, but couldn't muster up the courage. That would've been a legendary sighting...

Prices for this season are insane...also i love how Yohji's never really changed throughout the decades but always manages to make his clothes look modern for the current time period. I guess that's what timeless means...

Yea I saw that, thought that was pretty funny you might've saw him.

I think Yohji and his clothing is the definition of timeless.

Do you guys think that charging $9k for a jacket can be considered performance art? Actually, I think paying $9k for a jacket is definitely performance art. But what about charging that?

well it seems no more absurd than some of Carol's prices, which judging from this board a lot of people don't seem to have much of an issue with. I'm all for performance art...at least i think Carol's work deserves some merit due to its innovation, rather than a 100K yen very basic quality plain cotton button down from Altieri's latest venture.

I'm not comparing prices between designers, just trying to understand whether ballin' can become performance art. Something tells me pnids will back me up on that one...

Well, in this case i believe the act of paying 9k for a jacket within itself does not constitute performance art. The key is in watching how the buyer proceeds to wear said jacket and walk down the street - THAT is the test right there ;)

Nothing important. I just thought it was funny [76] , you know, like Oscar Wilde funny.

I saw the tweed jackets in person yesterday and they are absolutely stunning. Very, very exquisite fabric--delicate & complex weave, super soft and light-weight. An amazing contrast to what appears as rather sculptured and shaped on the runway.

I petted them for awhile before i dared confront the prices, but my eyes blurred up anyway. [70]
