"cheap" black canvas bag that does not look like crap? should fit a macbook 13" and some books and all that school stuff. not too thick but still tough. leather suggestions are welcome too of course but I don't believe I can fit that into my budget at the moment... 300$ is the absolute maximum :|

I like their A4 bags.. Fits my laptop, some books etc. Like the colors as well.

I have this bag in 'fatigue' and the quality is pretty amazing for the price. It's a subtly waxed cotton, very sturdy and very roomy.
May actually be way more room than you need but they have some smaller bags as well.
$255 USD but you get free shipping for orders over $250.
Some other really good bags on there...the quality is better than some much more expensive bags I own.

hmmm, many good suggestions.

beardown: the black one at 255$ was sold out... but they do have other very nice bags! will take these into consideration.
I was sadly enough hoping to get more suggestions like.. 200$ or less, but I guess that's not very easy here on SZ :D

co-sign on Property Of... bags. i own this in black/charcoal (sold out) and it's seriously awesome. solid as fuck and the heavy duty waxed cotton has aged so well. if you guys ever head to singapore go to the flagship store, prices are way cheaper than even the online store.

My 15.4" lap top fits and there's even some room for a book, keys, wallet etc. I doubt your 13" lap top would be too big.. ;)

Piffen: what the...? A4 isn't supposed to be the size of an actual A4 paper? :D I only went after those measurements. haha. well... I guess that makes it even more interesting! sorry about that :) think it would hold up with a couple of kilos of books? or is it too small for that anyway?

hahah wasnt exactly directing it at you, but yea it is kinda small, think measurements are 21x32x10. but it fits just slightly bigger than an A4, so kinda suits me, been looking for a bag that isnt too big. now im just contemplating whether to pull the trigger or not
