Berluti aren't dyed; they're polished. You can always have them add a patina later if that suits your fancy (note, you can't do everything with a black base...).

I like grey leather a lot. Suede just looks better in brown imho.

I love grey leathers and suedes. The thing with the grey leather is that it would be from Corthay and I hear what you get may not be that accurate when compared to the swatch.

Corthay does custom patinas(like Berluti) you can discuss with the colourist and get virtually any colour combination you want. I'm not sure how it works at BG though.

Yes it is Leffot that I was going through for either Edward Green or Corthay MTO.

That is the thing Fuuma is that I don't want a "patina" on the shoe which makes me shy away from the grey leather (and towards suede)since I am sure there will be variations in the hue.

Ask for a non patinated plain colour and bring a picture of the hue you want. Do you like the basic grey they use on Berluti fuma, maybe get that? I forgot you're allergic to all this flashy artisanship angle they have.

To be clear what they do is have a base colour and add a patina of your choice if you like so just forego that option. Ask them to provide to blend you a shoeshining kit of the exact same colour so it doesn't gain one through extended shining.

What do you guys think of the new Dior combat boots with patent straps from the AW08 lumiere du nord collection?
