I think this is really a question of whether or not you have another black parka? If you do, then get the dust. If not, then the black as it will be more versatile and suitable for cold weather clothing. Dust shows the design details better though...

Beau - those Augustas are beautiful! I love the color. I've been into cream lately. And as others mention, you could easily dye them if the color doesn't work in your wardrobe.
Acid - They are both nice, but my vote goes for dust. As kuugaia mentions, the design stands out a bit more.

i've kind of avoided the pyjama pant because i feared that there would be too strong a diaper effect, but i think i like these:
or possibly the black wool "gauze" version. i think the black pair will suit my wardrobe better but i like the tweed material of the grey pair. anybody have experience with these? or any alternatives or suggestions?dying and coming back gives you considerable perspective

Hey cjbreed,
I have both versions....the tweed material is great and falls very nice...the black wool gauze version has a lining and is thicker...I love both....I think the cut is great....and look less like a diaper than other drop crotch pants...

What does wool gauze look like in person? Im surprised to hear that it is thicker than tweed because in some pictures (like the ones in LVR) it looks semi-transparent.
Also, do all pyjama swingers have a drawstring at the waist? Maybe it's too dark to see, but the ones from the RO gallery doesn't seem to have it. I was hoping that maybe they replaced the drawstring with a regular button-down fly in some versions.
Im really liking the fit on these. Hoping they're not semi-transparent. Hoping they don't have a drawstring.

I first got the tweed version and I also was surprised how thin it is. The wool gauze material itself is thin..(but it is not the same quality like the wool gauze/waistband trousers) but with the lining together it's thicker and has a slightly double layer effect. Both have the drawstring....and four buttons...

Nikov,
I was wondering the same thing about those wool gauze pants from the RO photo page. That pair looks way more structured and rigid than the pyjama pant.
Plus, the crotch looks more defined...it's not so drapey and droopy.
I have a pair that are cotton which are basically a sweat pant. The pockets are all but useless for anything substantial and every bulge is revealed if you know what I mean.
Great chill pants but the s/s version was too wispy for my tastes.
I love the shape and look of those in the gallery...I'm just having a real hard time believing it's the same pant that's on LVR right now. (are they both FW10?)
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info too.Originally posted by mizzarSorry for being kind of a dick to you.
