Switch this coat for this coat (wool/cotton) or get the L&F in black (wool/linen) and keep the ma?

I feel the first two are quite similar in colour, so that's why I don't want both if I go with the moss coloured one from L&F. But if I go with the black L&F I could always keep the ma as well. The only down side with the latter is that I can't fund the L&F purchase with a ma-sale.

thinking if there was alternative ways of wearing it, like leaving the strap unbuttoned, so there's no hole and the strap dangling, or buttoning up the strap tighter (there are two buttons to adjust hem width) and scrunch it up on the knee.

kunk idk , i mean i actually can envision you wearing it and lookin pretty decent in it . i dont really like the jacket that much tho , i never got into puffy coats , personally id rather be a lil more cold and wear somethin not so puffy lol .
my honest answer is no , even if i can picture you wearing it cos i think its a lil too poofy . i imagine you having to push fru people just to get into / out of trains ( if you take the train )

edit: actually more i look at it , more i think its not quite as bad as i thought , i kinda like the way its styled there with a dress shirt and tie . hmmm nah still a no from me

jgan85, not sure how cold it gets in russia, but that w+h coat couldn't stand up to the canadian winter. for that price it's a decent buy, but aesthetically you could find something more appealing imho.

jgan85, I say do it, Wings and Horns makes some really quality gear, and on a budget, its not an overly expensive choice. And the plain military throwback look works well with many different styles of clothing IMO

What material is it?

The melton wool they use for a lot of their jackets is not overly thick, but it blocks wind and cold very well

It's a great coat and I myself owned it for a while. It is a heavy cotton fleece with light cotton lining, however, so I imagine it wouldn't be quite substantial for a Russian winter..
