i have a small 3cm rip near the seam in twisted julius jeans and i threw a few stitches so it wouldnt rip any further. i took them to a tailor today and he felt the weight of the fabric then looked at all of the seams and said "i cannot do this". what should i do? i am located in maryland.

Does anybody have enough experience wearing LUC basics to know if they ever feature "regular" tags such as these:

I've seen a few of these around and have never been sure as any LUC piece I've owned or handled has always never had any tags but the removable ones.

I've never come across any LUC with a regular tag.

Does LUC have any association with Japan, other than fans? Can't see why an Italian company producing garments in Italy would attach tags solely in Japanese...unless it's done by a secondary distributor(?)

Have seen LUC pieces sold in Edition (Japanese multi-label store) having an Edition tag sewn onto them...

This is what I'm wondering myself. I've seen a number of these japanese-tagged items on y! jp in the past few months that look completely legit otherwise.

Thanks for the insight AB&S, think this could be legit then?

as far as i know those LUCs are legit. it depends on which store brought them in. for some reason, they'll attach a tag of their own. like Y mentioned, those having an Edition tag. in this case, the tag reads "Barney's Japan. Made in Italia." So yea, again, no idea why they do it though.

I seriously don't think so... at most some korean/china clothing manufacturers will replica some similar designs and sell them at $40 through yes style...

I am looking for interesting and unusual applications of:

                                - velvet
                                - faux leather
                                - polyurethane or other plastics

any collections you guys can recommend?
