Sometimes the hide comes already oiled when they are bought by designers, as it is done at the tannery

if i am, oiling myself, which i do at times i use neatsfoot oil.

Try THVM. I got a pair from myhabit for just $55. Good quality, and although its skinny, it doesnt make your legs look like sticks.

Ive bought a second hand ccp long sleeves and the taped seams are pretty much gone. Is it a sin to re-tape it? Also if anyone has done it, how difficult is it to DIY?

you can in theory reattach the original tape with heat, for example ironing over them through a cloth, but if its very fragile or worn it might not stick anymore.

I have no idea about applying new tape.

Tried to find a thread more specific to LN-CC but couldn't locate anything. Anyone here on SZ in Canada ever purchased from them? I received a bizarre call from an unknown number today saying they were from UPS and that I need to fill out some document for it to clear customs. According to the tracking # it's currently in the States. They had plenty of information about the package, like who it was coming from (LN-CC's actual corporate name), and they only asked for my email address. So far though, I haven't received any forms to fill out.

Just not a typical UPS experience for me, so anyone experienced something similar?

Never happened to me on my 10+ transactions. That being said LN-CC hasn't really up-to-par with its previous service level since its acquisition. You could also contact them directly ...
