break-in
Is is normal for them to be pretty uncomfortable in the back of the heel area at first? I'm trying different insoles to see if I can alleviate some of the discomfort, but am hoping that it's a common issue. I picked up the distressed leather black/white version if it makes any difference.

^Yeah, those exist in reality.
The break-in period depends on the size of your feet.. And how small they are for you. Mine were way too small and the hard leather at the back didn't wear in at all. My heels will attest to the hardness of the rears. Best to get them slightly larger than you truly need them, or your true size, since they're a bit large in the toebox.
One of my biggest problems was the concealed heel letting my foot slide down toward the front and hurting my toes. Anybody else have that?Originally posted by philip nodsomebody should kop this. this is forever.

I've got to say I'm pretty damn excited to get mine in the mail today. I ended up getting the 45's from Casius despite being closer to a true 46.
I tried on a pair of 45's in NY, and it seemed like it would be fine with thin socks, but Beaux's uncomfortable experience is making me a little nervous. ahh well - will report back as soon as I've had them on for a couple days.
If they do work - I doubt you'll be able to pry them off me all summer long.
