Really?

That is one of my favorite jackets ever. It was the season after she left, before Raf started where the design team handled things. I rather liked what was in stores then and bought a fair amount of things.

that was a good season for Jil Sander other than some wack ass t-shirts and logoed belts. The plaid jackets and cuffed japanese denims was a very fresh relaxed look. Actually i'm pretty sure i like that season better than any Spring collection raf's done at JS.

It feels slightly derivative of Yohji Yamamoto S/S 05 though...

Will I go to hell for saying it is probably one of my favorite Jil Sander collections and she really didn't have anything to do with it? It had that whole Americana 50s surf undertone to it. I still have all my pieces that I bought. The "Jil Sander" marker belt, black gingham shirt with bougeavillea lei print, cotton mac, Made in Japan jeans (the ones in the ad above), tennis sweater, JS wave polo, navy gab2btn suit andwhite cotton blazer. I really really really wish I had picked up the jacket in that ad, it was a great ultra light cotton and also one of those reversible bomber/baracuda style jackets that went from solid to plaid.
