I've become obsessed with Hedi's particular vision of men in skirts recently. The B+W image for Tokyo Homme is closest to what I'm looking for - a severe, high-waisted pleated skirt. I've been trying to find one high enough that I could have two layers of belt-straps added so I can sort of imitate the similar looking high-waisted Raf pants from around 2005 - 2006.
So far no luck :( it doesn't really help that I'm not sure what the name of the apparently kimono-inspired pieces are... Mass thought they might be a hakama?Comment

While I'm not sure I could ever do it in real life, I agree that Hedi's version of male skirts is probably the most convincing one I've seen. I think the thickness of the material makes it come of as masculine and natural, not at all like a guy in a dress.Comment
