Would the chap on the right be wearing what's considered a 'bowler?'

Just imagine Samuel Beckett's pride if he were alive today to see people on a clothing forum discussing the hat of a character from his play based on a video screen grab.

    Absurdism at its best.

Yup, that's a bowler hat (I think Americans call it a derby hat?). You do get homburg hats without a very marked indentation on the top, but they tend not to have such a rounded shape.

I actually have the ICE jacket in Green/Yellow which changes to Brown/Dark Green which I purchased from the SI store in Rome. Very warm, versatile, and cool indeed. Went skiing with it too. It's filled with goose down and the quality is very good.

Like 90% of the outfits from those movies are really interesting (han solos on hoth is great s well) and bizarrely prescient. I remember Milspex on Superfuture / Other sites (a user from Japan who is extremely devoted to the japanese street-wear scene especially stuff from the 80s / 90s by my understanding ) discussing once that Star Wars had a huge influence on a lot of those early brands (some of which are still around today and seem to still wear the influence it on their sleeves to a certain extent - Undercover, for instance).

a lot of those 70s movies are great for style...Martin Sheen in Badlands is the ultimate dissertation on the denim look, one of the most irreverently stylish characters ever put on film (that scene where he throws the seersucker jacket on over his outfit is better than anything Junya Watanabe has come up with for men).

Brando in Last Tango in Paris is another good one, I get Yohji vibes from the mood of his character.

interest1 - Very nice and dramatic indeed. I wonder if there was a specific reason for that particulat design? I'll confess that I would kind of like to have one of those carbon spring legs like some athletes have.
